Equality under the Law

Big Developers, Manufactureers and powerful city councils  unfairly influence the judiciary in many countries.

In democratic countries ordinary citizens must unite against greedy developers and their corrupt co horts in city and national government.

Big money must not rule our system. Demand transparency and integrity of our government officials.

We want and should expect quality, energy efficient, healthy, environmentally safe homes and built communities.

Ask your self the question why are leaky buildings that become mold infested and rot from the inside out still being built-

Entire government departments exist to monitor and process defective constructions claims.  Yet the problem still persists.

City council building departments are not called to account. Big developers and manaufactureers are rarely prosecuted.

Why is that.

Homeowners are forced to pay huge legal and expert fees to force city councils  and other liable parties to account for their mistakes.

The liable parties parties no well that most plaintiff cannot afford a protracted legal battle

Consumer courts or tribunals are set up in many commonlaw jurisdictions to address this issue and give homeowners a less intimidating alternative.

But how well do these tribunals work.

Are they equity courts to assist the weaker parties seeking  justice or do they become once again tools for the city councils and wealthy developers to silence legitimate claims.

Wollongong Australia best case example in a western country in 2007.

Entire City council building department fired for corrupt associations with dishonest developers.

Avoiding planning and code rules to produce cheaply built defective buildings.

Ripping off consumers of decent housing and environmentally friendly developements.

All for maximum profits.

Big government exists in every aspect of our lives; we cannot run away from it. It is "Big Brother" watching over us, they say, but where is the watching and what are they watching?

They have been building environmentally safe, chemical and odor free homes for several years over in Northern Europe. Perhaps we can learn a few things from other countries when it comes to both commercial and residential buildings?

Attention Floridians (and others residing in hot and humid climates:

I personally live in Florida, and I can tell you from experience that leaky buildings infested with mold and mildew can cause severe health problems for children and adults alike who are extremely sensitive and allergic to these substances.
Also those who of course suffer even mild cases of asthma.

When my younger son was exposed to a leaky and moldy building, just for a few minutes, he immediately began having respiratory problems, severe problems. He was sent to the hospital by ambulance due to his severity, and he suffered respiratory distress. This is very dangerous.
He was of course treated and became well again. We have experienced a second episode of this with my son, second time from a different building. The same scenario this time (except the ambulance). He once again suffered respiratory distress, and then treated by the physician.

Mold and mildew is nothing to play around with. It can, as I have described here, be life threatening to people with allergies and sensitivities.

So please take this seriously. You never know if you may suddenly develop a sensitivity to itself over a period of time. And if you do become sick like this, do seek immediate care; in all likelihood, it(the symptoms) will not go away by itself, they probably will just escalate.
